It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and spend time at the Hacienda Ranch.  The staff was attentive and courteous to a fault.  The meals were tremendous.  The game was plentiful.  The view was extraordinary.  You guys have set the standard by which I will judge all other game ranch's.

"My grandfather was a wise man who taught me things like how to skin a raccoon and how to properly plant green beans.  Some of his lessons like how you shouldn't mess with a hornet's nest come with a sting......We fight to carve time for recreation and relaxation out of our busy lives and when we get that time, struggle to make sure we don't let it slip away uncelebrated.  Its not just the hunting at the Hacienda Ranch that helps gratify my desire for a good place to be, its the tone set by the owners and the staff that reminds you of that favorite song you listened to in high school - when things were good.  Its the food that keeps you anxious for the next taste and the sight of the sun setting into the Nueces River that burns an indelible image onto your hard drive allowing you to offer up a gift to your eyes.  Time doesn't stop at the Hacienda but it leaves an impression.  I am lucky in that I have chairs in a number of locations across this world where as a hunter I know I can find the recreation and relaxation I need.  I think Grandpa would approve of my chair at the Hacienda.  It sets on the porch of a house built in 1885...And it rocks!

I spent 4 days at the Hacienda Ranch and I couldn't have had a better trip.  When I talked to Brad b4 the trip he told me about the quality of the animals.  I haven't ever seen such caliber of Axis Deer, Blackbuck, and just about any other kind of exotic I could have wanted.  Everything on the Ranch would look great in my trophy room.  The accommodations were absolutely outstanding.  Everything from the Ranch House to the rooms to the mounts were outstanding.  Congratulations to the Hacienda Ranch crew on one fine ranch.  When you go to the ranch plan on bringing an extra large pair of pants, the Food is the Best In Texas.  I highly recommend the Enchiladas when you go down.  You will need those pants because Mama Draughon won't let you go hungry.  Highly Recommend the Hacienda Ranch for anyone that wants to hunt Trophy Size Exotics.  Shoot straight and shoot often.

What can I say?  I, the boys, and Barclay all loved everything about the experience.  You are a great owner and managing executive.  Your ranch manager, Brad, is a terrific guy and he has a mom that is not only justifiably proud of her son, but also a terrific cook.  Your ranch hands and staff were so nice that my boys just wanted to hang out with them.  And the shooting events were a blast, even though that damn charging buffalo cost me a custom rifle. 

I plan to come back again and again and hope that the enterprise is not only successful, but keeps being fun for you as well.  Hope to see you soon.

The food at Hacienda Ranch was second to none. I really mean that. Brad's mother, Karen Draughon, and his sister, Melissa Hernandez, whipped up meal after meal of some of the best home cookin that's ever passed my lips. Gold stars for both of them!!

The guides were exceptional, the food was awesome, the lodging was top notch, the hunting was great and the "little extras" were all there. Folks, if you ever get a chance, you owe it to yourself to see how real professionals do it. The Hacienda Ranch is without a doubt one of the top 5 places I've ever been. Check it out!!
